Abstract
Feminism characterizes a society in which women experience distinct treatment compared to men. This divergence in treatment places women at a disadvantage. Feminism asserts that this treatment is a result of cultural factors and can be altered, rather than being an inherent and unchangeable aspect of the world. This study focuses on achieving equality and freedom for women, especially Xialing for independently achieving everything, from mastering her combat skills to displaying her leadership and entrepreneurial talents. This abstract intends to offer a concise summary of a study that investigates the compelling story of “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Movie” As a groundbreaking entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the film presents a unique exploration of identity, family, and culture within the superhero genre. The film also has stunning visual effects, choreography, and action sequences, showcasing the unique blend of martial arts and superhero elements. It also delves into the film's soundtrack and its role in enhancing the narrative. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. While the theory used in this study is the feminist approach and the theories of feminism will apply from Tong and Madsen theories. By examining the manifestation of every dialogue, scene and narrations in the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings containing data according to the theory of feminism, also journals and other publications as the support of data analysis focusing on feminism. This analysis shows how feminism represented in the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings also shows gender stereotypes and acknowledges that ability or expertise should not be limited by gender
