Abstract
This study was conducted to find out the effect on the implementation of picture series in improving students’ skills in writing narrative text. The researcher implemented picture series to teach tenth grade students in the academic year 2021/2022 at SMA Negeri 1 Adiluwih. The researcher used pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test to collect the data. There were 30 students participated in this study. The data was collected by using a written pre-test and post-test. The test was administered before and after the treatment. To test the hypothesis, the researcher was using the IBM SPSS 20 application. The result revealed the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.000 (p 0.05). As a result, Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted. It proved that there was the significant difference on the students’ writing skill after the implementation of picture series as the media in teaching writing.
