Abstract
The registration process for new students is an annual routine activity in schools. Its main purpose is to collect basic information such as personal identity and parental data. This process is important because it allows the selection of prospective students who have good achievements. The admission of new students at SMK Negeri 1 Nunyai Canal is still carried out manually and has not used a computerized system. The management of a lot of data causes the accumulation and mixing of files between one student and another, causing irregularities in file storage. The large number of registrants also causes long queues and takes a lot of time. The purpose of this study is to design a user interface and user experience website for the acceptance of new learners. This research utilizes the User Centered Design method whose approach focuses on users in every stage of design, from understanding user needs, data collection, designing, to testing. The results showed that the design of ui/ux acceptance of new students based on the website received a good and acceptable assessment. Usability evaluation was carried out using the SUS (System Usability Scale) method, where the test results of 15 respondents from 10 questions showed an average score of 84.3 which was included in a fairly good score in the test.
