Abstract

In this thesis, the writer discusses Night novel written by Marion Wiesel 2006. This novel is one of stories that shows the issue of post traumatic stress disorder. The main focus of this research is to describe post traumatic stress disorder as seen through Wiesel character. To overcome the problem structurally, the writer arranged the theoritical framework by discusing theory and approach. The writer applies psychoanalysis theory especially theory of post traumaic stress disorder. In addition, the data are taken from novel in the form of dialogues of characters, the method of the data analysis is descriptive qualitative method. The analysis proves that Wiesel experiences post traumatic stress disorder because he reveals six out of ten criteria from the disorder. The result also shows that are intentional human, it is caused by the German army and all of the Jewish being beaten by the German, the emotional causes of violence and the war started. From those factor make Wiesel causes traumatic stress disorder.
