Abstract
The research was conducted to find out the significant improvement of eleventh grade students’ reading skill at SMAN 1 Seputih Raman after being taught through WordWall in Task-Based Language Teaching. The research was conducted at one class of eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Seputih Raman. The sample consisted of one class, namely class XI.6, which was selected using purposive sampling technique. The research used quantitative method with a one-class pre-experimental design To collect the data reading using pre-test and post-test consisting 25 multiple choice questions were used. Then, data were analyzed using a normality test and paired sample test with the help of SPSS 29. The results showed a significant improvement in reading skill scores after being given treatment, the average student score on the pre-test was 65, while the average student score on the post-test was 90. The findings showed that the results after giving treatment showed higher results than before giving treatment. The result of paired sample t-test showed that alternative hypothesis is accepted which means there is improvement in students’ reading skill after being taught through WordWall in Task-Based Language Teaching.
