Abstract
During the COVID-19 pandemic, SMKN 1 Talangpadang has applied online learning.The implementation of offline and online learning is totally different, especially on the use of the lesson plan by the teacher. The purposes of this research were: (1) to explore the implementation of a lesson plan for online learning during theCOVID-19 pandemic at the tenth grade of SMKN 1 Talangpadang; (2) to find out the teacher’s adjustment in maintaining that the online learning activities run as set out in the lesson plan; and (3) to investigate the ways of the teacher to meet the goals of basic competence as set out in the syllabus and the lesson plan during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was carried out through a case study. It was conducted with an English teacher who taught class X at SMKN 1 Talangpadang. The data were obtained through document analysis, observation, and interviews. In this research, there were three findings. First, the finding showed that the material, learning method, and time allocation did not accordance with the implementation of lesson plan. Second, the teacher found that the teacher used the lesson plan as an outline of learning. The teacher did not maintain the time allocation in the learning activities done as set in the lesson plan.The teacher maintained all the learning activities for the students to reach the learning materials. Lastly, it was found out thatthe teacher used two ways, including material compaction and a week submission to achieve basic competence. Thus, the findings of this researcher may give the information for the teachers in preparing and implementing the lesson plan during online learning.
