Abstract
This thesis discusses a movie directed by Mel Gibson entitled Hacksaw Ridge. It is aimed to identify the character of Desmond T. Doss. Specifically, the purpose of this research is to know and explain the character of Desmond T.Doss based on Pacfism theory in Hacksaw Ridge movie. The writer applied Pacifism theory by Jeff McMahan. The theory explains that a pacifist has different mind and way to shows about their characteristics. The data of this research are based on the action and dialogue inside the movie. This research was conducted by library research and qualitative method. The result of this analysis presents the characteristic of Desmond T.Doss in the movie based on pacifism theory. Based on Philosophical, they are has a relation to the people minds because from their thinking.
