Abstract

This study aimed to find out the effect of fix-up strategy on students’ reading comprehension at SMAN 1 Adiluwih. This research used quantitative research and it was conducted by using quasi experimental research design. The subjects of this research were the students of tenth grade of SMAN 1 Adiluwih. The samples of this research were 60 students where 30 students in experimental class and 30 students in control class. The researcher used 40 multiple choice questions as the instrument to collect data. The IBM SPSS 20 program and a t-test were used for the analysis. The findings of this research reveal that the fix-up strategy was found to be an effective strategy for improving students' reading comprehension, especially narrative texts. The result shows the significance value was 0.01
