Abstract

ABSTRACT THE APPLICATION OF GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) TECHNOLOGY IN ANDROID BASED PRESENCE APPLICATIONS (CASE STUDY: SMA NEGERI 2 OKU TANZANIA) Oleh ADITYA DWI PRASETYO 18313017 Attendance that we know is an important role in every educational institution. Absent Students aim to monitor student attendance levels and educate students for discipline. High School (SMA) Negeri 2 Oku Tanzania has problems related to recording student absenteeism which is currently done manually on paper, so that it can improve the quality of attendance data processing, service quality and systems in schools. This study aims to build applications Android-based attendance that can be used on teacher and student mobile devices. There are many ways to solve current problems, one of which is making a location-based attendance application system by utilizing the GPS feature that can be used on Android. The programming languages used in the system development are Java and PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) using React Native with Android Studio & Visual Studio tools as editors for writing Java code and PHP, HTML. Thus, with this research it can help schools and students in facilitating students in carrying out attendance activities accurately. In the research that will be carried out using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method and to test the feasibility of the system using the ISO 25010 method.
