Abstract

Fish cultivation that uses a lot of sophisticated automatic tools, one of which is catfish which is freshwater fish with high economic opportunities to be cultivated because the level of demand for catfish in the market is quite high. However, crop failure in catfish farming also often occurs, usually due to the many diseases that attack fish, so a system is needed to identify the disease. Aristoteles (2015). Success in the field of catfish cultivation is supported by the quality of pond water. There are sever al factors that are used as guidelines in assessing the quality of waters, namely the degree of water acidity (pH value), oxygen content, water temperature, water turbidity, and water hardness. Bahtiar dkk (2017). According to SNI (2009) the optimal temperature for catfish cultivation is between 27-32oC and the optimal pH is between 6.5-8.5. Meanwhile, according to research in the journal Rochmawati dkk (2016) A good pH value for pond water quality is 6.5-8 and a temperature in the range of 26-27oC. By utilizing current technology, the author applies the design of a quality monitoring tool and the addition of water automatically in catfish ponds using a fuzzy algorithm. In addition to helping catfish farmers control through pH and temperature sensors in real time with fuzzy algorithms, the design of this tool can also help improve science and technology as well as the results of their business as a livelihood with high economic opportunities in the fisheries sector.
