Abstract
The goal of the research was to know how can the speaking skill of tenth-grade students be improved by using YouTube, in SMA Gajah Mada Bandarlampung, in the academic year of 2020/2021. This is a classroom action research study (CAR) with two meetings in each cycle. Planning, activity, observation, and reflection were all part of the study approach in each cycle to gather data, the researcher used the students’ speaking tests, observations, and documents. The test was conducted through a pre-test and post-test, furthermore, the research was carried out to see the increase of the student's speaking abilities after using YouTube as a learning medium. Data revealed that 89.28 percent of students met the success criteria. Which are 80% of students have to pass the minimum score, 72. Vocabulary, comprehension, pronunciation, grammar, task, and fluency were the aspects of speaking skills that improved after the teaching and learning process. a result Students' speaking skills improved using YouTube
