Abstract

The teachers of SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung conducted an online summative assessment using an online assessment tool, such as Google Forms. Google Forms is an online assessment tool used by the teachers at SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung at the end of the semester, to assess students understanding due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The purpose of this study is to describe students’ perception of the use of Google Forms in the Final test. This research used a qualitative research design. Furthermore, the data was collected through questionnaires and interviews. The participants of the study were 34 students of X MIPA 5 at SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung. It was started on March 23, 2021, until April 5, 2021. The research findings reveal that the students have a positive perception towards the use of Google Forms in the aspect of attractiveness, effectivity, easiness, and efficiency. In the aspect of efficiency, it enabled the students to know the score directly. Thus, it gave efficiency and accuracy to the scoring system. Furthermore, it gave the students the easiness to answer the question by clicking the answer rather than circling the questions. Furthermore, the required question helped the students to fill out all of the questions before submitting the test. Therefore, it prevents unanswered questions. Nevertheless, the students have a negative perception towards the use of Google Forms in the aspect of accessibility. The students found a problem that they suddenly log out from the test. It happened due to an unstable internet connection or an error system in Google Forms. As a result, the students have to restart the test from the beginning
